“I have participated in a lot of therapy over the years trying to work on the mental component of my chronic pain condition. I am an engineer through and through and, correspondingly, a very literal thinker. Little of the work counseled to me seemed to do much other than frustrate my connection between my mind and my body. Internal family system therapy has been a game changer for me. The way it plots our mind space in a very real and predictable system gives me the tools that I need to lead my parts. Not only have I been able to trace down the parts of me that aggravate my pain, I've also been able to shift them into performing more healthy behaviors that alleviate my pain. Beyond that, I better understand why I do what I do. Knowing that, I can be more in control of my actions rather than my actions controlling me.

Tricia has a remarkable skill at earnestly listening and offering the most critical, simple questions at the most opportune times that help me recognize when my Self is in control rather than my parts. The way she helps me be curious and compassionate towards all my parts has taught me how to further the work I do in therapy, out of therapy. I have become increasingly capable of self sufficiently managing my own system by following her example. She is a stalwart saint, and the presence of the Lord is so abundant in our appointments. She helps me bring my more vulnerable and hurt parts to light and enables my Self to work with the Savior to heal those parts and bring them to a more connected and comfortable place in my life. This has helped my relationships with those I care about, given me more control in my life, and connected me further with the Savior.”

“I am grateful for the gentle and skilled guidance of Patricia Kelly as we have gone inside to meet my family of parts. With a short discussion beforehand, she is able to help me recognize the part that I can meet with. With her assistance I meet my parts in a safe place we found that works. As I begin and inner discussion with my parts, her calm suggestions of what questions to ask, help open my understanding without controlling the encounter and what I’m able to learn.
Her expertise lies in the faith she has in me, in Jesus Christ, and in the healing process that occurs. I have learned to feel great gratitude for the process, parts that has/have brought me to this point. In the encounters with my parts, I have experienced great sorrow followed by a capacity to feel deeper joy. I have discovered my true Self and the strength, wisdom, and courage that I possess and have always possessed. One of the greatest breakthroughs for me is that I trust my voice, my heart and my insight. I celebrate who I am more, laughing at my shortcomings and cheering my successes with more grace and compassion. I feel that I have my peeps that i can gather together whenever I need to understand better. I follow the path into my soul, then talk things through with these fellow sojourners who have protected me, holding onto the experiences and memories that are now helping me to grow into a true version of myself."

"Over the years, I have had the opportunity to engage in therapy for myself. Until recently, all of my experiences were with traditional type talk therapy such as CBT. In the last couple of years, I became interested in Internal Family Systems and was able to work with Patricia using this modality for the last several months. It has been so eye opening. I have quickly been able to identify parts of me that were stuck in outdated patterns and have been able to help those parts of me find new ways to help me live life. As Patricia guided me inside to get to know the parts of myself that worked to protect me and help me be functional in my personal life and work, I have been able to engage my confident, compassionate self more of the time to become less anxious and feel more a sense of peace in my daily life. I have been better able to recognize when parts of me are overreacting and how to help them give me a space to be the person God designed me to be."

“Tricia is a wonderful IFS (Internal Family Systems) practitioner. Her gentle, nurturing presence creates a safe, relaxed experience. She helped me do inner child healing work through IFS that was fascinating to participate in and to feel the shifts as we went along. When you do work this vulnerable, the personality of the practitioner really matters. Tricia’s personality is great for this work. She is compassionate, validating, safe, and goes at the pace the client needs to go. I feel that the work she did with me contributed to some breakthroughs in my life. If you are ready to heal from past or present issues in your life, and move forward with more freedom, I highly recommend her!”

I have been seeing Patricia for several years, both to avail myself of her IFS expertise for my own practice and for general support as I continue to build my own counseling practice. She brings warmth, kindness, intelligence and empathy to every session. IFS is a powerful therapeutic modality and Patricia is an excellent practitioner. I highly recommend her services.
