Bonnie Randall of “Come off Conquerer”, an amazing community of faith-based women seeking help and support for healing trauma and abuse, interviewed me this last October wanting to share with her community of women the hope and help that comes through IFS. It was such a delight to visit with her! Bonnie and her community of women are seriously amazing!! They are a light to other women on this same path of healing and recovery!
Every time I watch this interview it is so interesting to listen to the conversations inside of me. Some of my parts are like, “Wow is that really me? I can’t believe it's really me! I am so pretty and smart.” Others are like, “Oh my gosh I can’t believe I just said that, I just made a complete fool of myself! I will never get over this. I hope nobody important is going to see this.” Other parts feel super shy and can't believe I actually have this video out where others will see it. Other parts are like, "WOW! So cool! We need to tell everyone about this!!" I just chuckle to myself and love my parts, all of them. They are so cute!
What conversations are you hearing in your head? Are you listening? They are happening all. the. time. IFS allows us to step back and with compassion observe what is happening with curiosity and love. These states of love, compassion and curiosity really are our divine inheritance. Imagine this, what would it be like if you could step back and with compassion and curiosity observe yourself and others from that space? IFS will help you do that! I invite you to step into your inner world and get to know the conversations in your head. You just might find that they are your biggest cheerleaders!
Love and blessings from Payson, Utah!
P.S. A real IFS session will be following soon!
